William Dunlop out of TT

Tyco BMW rider William Dunlop is out of the 2015 Isle of Man TT after only one race, after a crash during this morning’s practice lap on his BMW superstock machine.

Dunlop crashed out at Laurel Bank on the S1000RR, during the sole scheduled lap for the machines ahead of tomorrow’s rescheduled race.

Dunlop has been released from hospital already, but with broken ribs ruling the battered and bruised rider in a lot of pain, his further participation in this year’s TT races has been curtailed.

However, after consultation with both teams, he’ll be replaced for at least one of his races, with Tyco BMW teammate Guy Martin taking over his Victory ride for the TT Zero race.
