Alastair Seeley will start on pole position for this evening’s first Superstock race at the 2018 Vauxhall International North West 200 after a dominant performance in this morning’s qualifying session.

With the sun beaming down on the 8.9 mile Triangle circuit, Seeley’s time of 4’26.061 places him two seconds clear of second-placed Dean Harrison with Michael Dunlop completing the front row for Carl Cox MD Racing BMW.

Michael Rutter will start fourth on the Batham’s BMW ahead of the second BMW of Dan Kneen, who had run as high as second earlier in the session with Peter Hickman making it five BMWs in the top six to round out the second row.

James Hillier will start seventh for JG Speedfit Kawasaki ahead of Martin Jessopp while Gary Johnson and Lee Johnston round out the top ten.

Returning from injury, Ian Hutchinson will start the first Superstock race 25th for Honda Racing.
