Borja returns to Ducati for 2002 WSB season

Spaniard Juan Borja will be making a return to Ducati in 2002… but with a customer race bike rather than the works 996R he had in 2000.

Borja will be racing for the De Cecco Ducati team – the same outfit that brought the Aprilia RSV1000 to the racetrack for the first time in 1999 with Peter Goddard.

Since he was dropped from the works Ducati team Borja has struggled to find a competitive ride – he spent the 2001 season struggling on a Yamaha R7 for the Russian Panavto team.
