Chris Vermuelen has signed to ride for the Ten Kate World Supersport squad in 2003.

The 20-year-old Australian will move from the Ten Kate-backed Van Zon Honda to the full squad, replacing the Kawasaki-bound Fabien Foret.

Vermuelen told MCN: ” I’m over the moon, it’s got to be the best ride in World Supersports. Ten Kate bikes are always the fastest out there – I can’t wait to get my hands on one.

” Apparently the squad will get them as soon as October and will be ready for testing in November. ”

Britain’s Jamie Whitham and teammate Paulo Casoli have already agreed terms to ride the new R6 with their Belgarda Yamaha squad for 2003.
