Laconi drops in on Ducati

1 of 1

Regis Laconi cemented his arrival at Ducati by getting a taste of the racing heritage he is now a part of.

He couldn’t resist getting his leg over Mike Hailwood’s Ducati 900, the bike that won him the 1978 World TT F1 Championship in 1978, when he was shown around the firms museum by superbike boss Paolo Ciabatti. He also had to try out the Ducati 888 that Doug Polen used to win the 1991 World Superbikes Championship.

Laconi is now riding for the Scuderia Caracchi NCR WSB team on a Ducati 998RS after leaving the Aprilia factory Moto GP.
