Neil Hodgson turned 30 years of age on November 20, after a year which has seen him claim the World Superbike championship, land a MotoGP ride with the D’Antin Ducati squad and become a father.

Hodgson also won the MCN Man of the Year Award, which was presented to him at the NEC Motorcyle Show in Birmingham on Friday, November 14.

After receiving the award, Hodgson said, ” As far as being recognised, accepted and appreciated by the fans is concerned, the MCN Man of the Year award is the one. You only get it because people vote for you to get it and it’s a huge honour. Thanks to all the fans that voted for me. It really means a lot to me. ”

Hodgson plans to celebrate his birthday with a big Friday night out with family and friends before going to Manchester for his birthday weekend.
