Muggeridge wins title

1 of 1

Karl Muggeridge is the 2004 World Supersport champion for Ten Kate Honda, after his rival, Jurgen Van Den Goorbergh crashed out of the race on lap 12.

Muggeridge and team-mate Broc Parkes were already several seconds clear of the rest of the field and looking like they would cruise to a comfortable one-two, when suddenly the number 4 Yamaha of Dutchmen Van Den Goorbergh was in the gravel. That means the title now goes to Muggeridge with one round of the championship still to come at Magny-Cours in France.
