Positive test for Hodgson

Neil Hodgson will be positive about the 2006 AMA Superbike season, finishing the first day of a three-day Dunlop tyre test fourth quickest.

The test began at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday December 10. The first session saw Honda’s Jake Zemke go fastest with 1:40.379, closely followed by Hodgson on 1:40.875 on the Parts Unlimited Austin Ducati 999R. Team-mate Ben Bostrom was fifth quickest, behind Aaron Yates and Tommy Hayden.

Times improved in the second section, with Ben Spies posting the fastest time of 1:39.545, followed by Bostrom (1:39.685), Zemke (1:39.903), and Hodgson (1:40.171).

The second day of the test on Sunday, December 11, was cancelled due to heavy rain. The third and final test session is underway at the circuit today, Monday, December 12, 2005.
