Brands Hatch World Superbikes: Max Biaggi uses a car to learn Brands Hatch circuit

Max Biaggi has attempted to learn the Brands Hatch circuit in preparation for this weekend’s World Superbike race by completing laps of the short circuit in a car.

The Italian Alstare Suzuki rider knows Brands Hatch will be his biggest challenge yet due to the blind corners, and undulating nature of the Kent circuit.

Max Biaggi currently lies second in the championship knows he’ll be at a disadvantage racing against Brands Hatch veterans James Toseland (Ten Kate Honda), Troy Bayliss (Ducati Xerox) and Noriyuki Haga (Yamaha Motor Italia), but remains confident he can maintain his impressive consistency and still secure podium results.

He said: “I drove on the short track with an Audi some months ago but was it wasn’t really enough time to comprehend the circuit. I asked for my team to choose this as test track, but they had difficulty in finding dates and it was too expensive.

“Normally I’ don’t have a big problem to learn new circuits so I think the best thing is to find a good set as soon as possible and then to push hard.

“I’m not thinking about the championship, I live race by race and my aim is to win as many as possible and at the end we will see where we are.”
