1 of 1

The 2008 World Superbike Championship has been announced with new races at the Nurburgring in Germany and Sentul in Indonesia making it a provisional 15 round series.

The addition of Sentul in Indonesia makes it four fly away rounds alongside Qatar, Phillip Island and Salt Lake City.

The last time World Superbikes raced at Sentul was ten years ago in 1997 where John Kocinski and Carl Fogarty took a win a piece.

Other notable changes to the provisional calendar released earlier in the year are date changes for Vallelunga which now takes place a week earlier whilst the final round of the championship in Portugal takes place a week later.

The means the season starts in Qatar in February and finishes over eight months later in Portimao, Portugal in November.
