James Toseland heads to Valencia on Wednesday for a two day test where he intends to put the finishing touches to his 2007 season preparations.

Since the end of the 2006 season, Toseland has completed three official SBK Pirelli tests in Valencia, Qatar and Phillip Island.

In each of the tests the 26 year old Brit has been a match for Bayliss, Corser and Biaggi on race tyres, but knows that with an all new and fast developing Yamaha and Suzuki the start of the 2007 season will be vital.

It will be the last time Toseland gets to ride before the season starts in Qatar on 24th February.

Speaking to MCN, Toseland said:

“Our testing has gone to plan so now we’re just working on ways to get the bike easier to ride and a little bit easier to get around the track. The initial tap of the throttle on the Honda has always been a little aggressive so the team have done some work on the sprocket carrier with the cush drive to improve this.”

“We’re still playing around with different linkages for the KR swing arm plus we’ve got some updated suspension setting to try.”
