Brno World Supersport: Britain's Craig Jones second behind Sofuoglu

1 of 1

Britain’s Craig Jones has taken a fantastic second place in the Brno round of the World Supersport championship.

Jones spent most of the race trying to chase down championship leader and race winner Keenan Sofuoglu alongside Brock Parkes and Robin Harms and had just started to drop off the back when an incredible move by Parkes on the second to last corner of the race saw both he and Harms in the gravel trap.

Harms had taken second place away from Parkes a few corners earlier forcing the Yamaha rider to sit up. Parkes tried to return the favour but got it all wrong, going up the inside and tangling with Harms rear wheel, gifting the second place to Jones.

Meanwhile Sofuoglu’s nearest championship rival Fabien Forret looked to be having a bad day running down in 10th place but the Kawasaki rider managed to push his way to what looked like fifth on the last lap. After the coming together at the head of the field however, he walked away with the final podium position.
