Troy Bayliss switches places with Troy Corser on the World Superbike timesheets in Misano

Australia’s Troy Bayliss was fastest in this afternoon’s first qualifying session for the World Superbikes at Misano in Italy. 

The Ducati rider recorded a best time of 1:36.479 and knocked 0.4secs of this morning’s best from fellow Australian Troy Corser. The timesheets saw a reversal of this morning’s World Superbike free practice session with Troy Corser in second on a 1:36.524.

Ducati’s Ruben Xaus moved up the time sheets with a 1:36.879, which was more than a second quicker than his time earlier.

Britain’s James Toseland (Honda) had a disappointing World Superbikes’ session, finishing up in seventh. However, the current World Superbike championship leader was just over one 10th of a second quicker than his best time this morning.

Fellow British rider, Dean Ellison, finished 22nd on his Ducati with a best time of 1:41.290.
