Misano World Supersport: Jones and Rea on podium

1 of 1

Two brits have taken podium positions at the Misano round of the World Supersport championship with Andrew Pitt taking the win.

Craig Jones and Jonathan Rea made it a Honda one, two, three on the podium as Jones split the two Ten kate bikes.

Pitt took the whole shot but it was Broc Parkes who led for the first half of the race. With 14 laps to go Parkes waved Pitt through to the lead then shortly after lost the front and slid out.

Jones had been on the back of the front two riders but just couldn’t keep up with Pitt’s pace.

The story was very similar for Johnathan Rea who had just enough space to keep Fabien Foret at bay but not enough to try and push Jones for second.

Chris Walker battled back from 24th on the grid to take 12th place behind a recovered Broc Parkes.

Top Triumph rider was Mark Aitchison who just missed out on fifth place to Robin Harms.
