Donington Park World Supersport: Josh Brookes takes win for Stiggy Honda

1 of 1

Josh Brookes has taken his second ever World Supersport win at Donington Park ahead of championship leader Andrew Pitt.

The close Supersport race saw Jonathan Rea lead the race for a few laps, until his team-mate Pitt upped the pace and overtook the Ulster-man.

Once Pitt passed Rea he had no answer and could only watch as Pitt pulled away. Rea then enjoyed an epic battle with both Barry Venneman and Josh Brookes for second place, with Brookes eventually getting the better of Rea.

Josh Brookes then put the hammer down and made ground on Pitt, eventually passing him on the penultimate lap.

Wildcard Hudson Kennaugh rode well and finished in fifth place, behind the leading pack. 250GP regular Eugene Laverty found form late in the race eventually finishing 12th.
