Haga wants repeat of 2007 Magny Cours double

World Superbike championship leader Noriyuki Haga will be going all out to replicate his stunning 2007 double win at the French track this weekend at Magny Cours.

Haga currently leads friend and rival Ben Spies by three points after a stunning performance at Imola last weekend where he secured a win and second place.

Over the last five years Haga has enjoyed unprecedented success at the French track having secured a total of eight podiums from ten starts including four wins.

In 2007 he utterly dominated the race and nearly wrestled the title away from James Toseland in the process.

Haga said: “I like the track and over the last few years I’ve had some fairly good results.

“I really need to repeat the double win of 2007 again this season and will go all out to do just that.

“Imola gave us good points, enough to regain the lead, but we only have a three point advantage so this weekend is extremely important.”
