Eugene Laverty ended the three day test at Portimao in first place after an impressive final day performance on his Parkalgar Honda. Laverty set a best time of 1’45.104 on lap 26 of the session and then backed it up with a 1m45.164 on lap 29, with both times good enough for first position.

Joan Lascorz claimed second spot ahead of Ten Kate Honda man Michele Piro and Laverty’s team-mate Miguel Praia in fourth.

Chaz Davies ended the test in sixth place after completing 122 laps on his BE1 Triumph.
