Haslam acquaints himself with new BMW

Leon Haslam has spent this morning with his Dad, Ron getting to know his new factory BMW team at Magny Cours. The 2010 WSB runner-up will get his first ride on the bike tomorrow after being confirmed in the official team alongside Troy Corser last week.

Haslam has already been to the factory in Munich to sit on the bike and establish a base setting for the S1000RR.

Speaking to MCN at Magny Cours, he said: “It’s a bit of a quick turnaround from racing the Suzuki yesterday to testing the BMW tomorrow, but I’m looking forward to it.

“My crew chief Giacomo (Guidotti) has been in the garage all day and there is a lot of work to do. I spent some time there getting to know everyone and seeing how the team works. It’s exciting and I can’t wait to ride it tomorrow.”
