French WSB: Wet Session Leads To Status Quo In WSB Qualifying

1 of 1

Wet weather for the second and final regulation qualifying round at Magny-Cours, before Superpole this afternoon, left the qualifying order exactly the same as it finished on Friday, with Sylvain Guintoli (Aprilia Racing) and Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) heading into Superpole in the leading positions.

In the wet today Marco Melandri (BMW GoldBet) was fastest, an ominous sign for his rivals if raceday is also wet, given his assured race win in full wet conditions in Russia.

David Salom (Kawasaki Racing Team) standing in for Loris Baz, fell early in the session and his bike laying on the track brought out red flags, delaying an already late session, due to the rains.

The top 15 qualifiers now go to Superpole, after the final free practice session is completed.
