Biaggi tests Aprilia WSB machine again

Former world champion Max Biaggi has once again tested the Aprilia RSV4 World Superbike machine, taking to his local track of Vallelunga for three days.

The double WSB winner, who took the Aprilia to title success in 2012, has been continually linked to rumours of a 2015 wildcard appearance, after coming out of retirement to become the team’s test and development rider.

Joined by Aprilia test rider Daniele Veghini, riding the production version of the racer, Biaggi completed 137 laps of the circuit, completing work ahead of next weekend’s new Thailand round of the series.

“We are continuing the programme, making a few small changes along the way. Thailand is going to be quite a mystery, with high temperatures that could cause some problems. For this reason, we are trying to prevent possible issues.”

“We have testing various solutions, some of which have benefitted us and others which need to be assessed further, as is normal when testing like this. Needless to say, I have enjoyed getting back into the saddle; it always flicks a switch inside me, giving a very positive feeling.”
