Biaggi set for further WSB wildcard

Max Biaggi will return to the World Superbike championship for the third time this year, with the former world champion set to add to impressive performances at Misano and Sepang with an appearance at the final round of the season in Qatar.

Taking to a blindingly fast track well suited to the Aprilia RSV4, the six-time world champion will be looking to improve on his efforts earlier in the year. Riding both Italian and Malaysian rounds of the series, he returned to the podium in Sepang with a best finish of third.

A key part of the Aprilia test team, he remains closely linked with the Noale factory that took him to title victory in 2010 and 2012. And despite the demise of the factory team as such, the transfer of much of the key staff to the Red Devils Roma squad means that the Italian has remained surrounded by many of his own personnel.
