Kawasaki Racing Team have this evening lifted the covers off their 2018 World Superbike challenger at the team’s HQ just outside Barcelona.

Retaining KRT’s traditional green, black and white colours, with an additional, brighter green/yellow taking place of some of the white on last year’s machine.

The team launch focused on the success KRT has achieved since the Barcelona-based Provec outfit took over the running of the squad in 2012. Since then, the team has achieved a whopping 73 World Superbike victories, four riders’ crowns and three manufacturer titles.

KRT riders Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes head in to the 2018 season having finished first and second in the 2017 World Championship respectively, and while new regulations have been introduced to even up the field this year, the squad remain confident of a strong attack when the season gets underway later this month.

Rea and Sykes’ ZX-10RRs will be shipped to Australia tomorrow ahead of the annual pre-season test at Phillip Island ahead of the first round of the championship getting underway between 23rd and 25th February.
