Exciting bike to ride. Engine is a beauty with a sports bike top end and a strong mid range. Not too heavy, not intimidatingly powerful, very responsive at any revs. Good brakes, good handling, what's not to like. Worst part is the fuel tank is only 14 litres.

Not quite a five, but close. I would recommend the Fjr without hesitation, the ride comfort and power this bike has makes it a Swiss army knife option for everyday use.

I don’t recognise most of the criticisms in your test: no serious vibration, no weave, tyres better than you’d expect, excellent rear brake (but poor front one, improved with better pads).
