Ducati UK have announced a brand-new off-road initiative set to launch in July 2025, giving riders the opportunity to get behind the bars of the firm’s competition-bred Desmo450 MX motocrosser at four venues across England.

Dubbed the Ducati MX Experience, the day-long events are open to riders aged 17 and over, with no motorcycle licence required – though basic riding experience is necessary.

Priced at £220, the sessions include expert tuition, premium hospitality, and the chance to ride the Bologna firm’s first-ever motocross machine on dedicated off-road tracks.

“The Desmo450 MX bikes are incredible, and we have the venues, instructors and the support services to guarantee a fantastic experience for our guests,” said Barry Johnson, the former top international MX racer, turned coach heading up the experience.

Sessions will run at Golding Barn in West Sussex, Hobs Hole MX in the Midlands, Pond Lane MX in Hampshire, and Fatcat MotoParc in Doncaster.

“Ducati’s entry into the world of motocross is a historic moment for the company,” added Ducati UK MD Fabrizio Cazzoli. “We are delighted to offer everyone in the UK a chance to experience the new Desmo450 MX for themselves.”

For those not tempted to try their hand at motocross, Ducati also offer a range of on- and off-road riding experiences via their DRE Riding Academy.

These include the Adventure package featuring the Multistrada V4 Rally and DesertX, plus two levels of racetrack training on the Panigale V2S, V4S, and V4R.
