Ducati UK have donated a 213bhp Panigale V4S superbike to the team at BikeSafe, which is set to be used for a number of police-led motorcycle training initiative.

The handover of the fluorescent liveried motorcycle, which retails for £29,995 in road trim, was completed at Donington Park race circuit during a recent Ducati trackday.

It will be used to help deliver post-test training to riders, as well as an engagement tool at road safety events, and on trackdays.

“This partnership allows us to give back to the biking community by promoting safe riding practices and supporting initiatives that make the roads safer for everyone,” Managing Director of Ducati UK, Fabrizio Cazzoli said.

“We want every rider to experience the joy of riding, but with the utmost respect for safety.

“Our bikes naturally draw attention, and this partnership gives us the opportunity to channel that interest into promoting safe riding practices,” he continued.

The special superbike was used to lead a parade lap of Donington, and it’s hoped the suite of sophisticated lean-sensitive electronics will help spark conversations with riders, as well as assist instructors during lessons.

“By leveraging Ducati’s appeal, we can engage riders in meaningful conversations about safety and training,” Deputy Chief Constable at Derbyshire Constabulary, Simon Blatchly OBE said. “This collaboration allows us to reach out to the biking community in a way that truly resonates, making a real difference in reducing accidents and saving lives.”

BikeSafe is a UK-wide training initiative that sees advanced police motorcyclists provide post-test training. Ducati have donated a number of motorcycles to the cause in recent years, including an original Panigale V4 in 2018, plus a later V-twin Panigale V2 and SuperSport.
