Café racer builders, Japanese style

1 of 2

Custom built café racers are usually the domain of the back street garage.
Small teams working out of cramped lock-ups, producing personal and unique machines. But in Japan there’s one firm that does it a little differently.

Ritmo Sereno are a west Tokyo based bike shop that specialise in BMW R80 and R90 based café racers. The bikes they produce are some of the slickest looking machines around but perhaps the biggest surprise is the showroom.
looking more like purveyors of exotic and expensive sports cars The glass cube design shows the bikes off to stunning effect and there’s even a minimalist coffee bar inside.

The ‘custom file’ list on their website showcases some of the bikes they’ve produced and sold through the shop and looking at the quality it’s not hard to see why they’re doing so well.
