MCN celebrates 20 years of Triumph

1 of 7

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the debut of the first new Hinckley Triumphs.

At the Cologne Show way back in 1990, John Bloor’s all-new Triumph concern unveiled its first new bikes – the Trophy 1200 and 900, Daytona 1000 and 750 and Trident 750 and 900.

Twenty years on, the revived marquee has now grown to become one of motorcycling – and British industry’s – success stories, currently being the world’s fastest growing bike manufacturer with a line-up littered with class-leading machines.

To celebrate this fact MCN is planning a series of special, commemorative features over the course of the year – with the first in next week’s May 5th edition of Motorcycle News.

We’ll be remembering Triumph’s landmark bikes of the past two decades and have gathered together four of them – and their owners – to reflect on the Hinckley marque’s hits… and misses.

Our six-page special is in next week’s issue – don’t miss it!
