Ducati is the only motorcycle firm to have been given space at the Beijing exhibition, adding to the manufacturer’s interest in the Chinese market.

The Beijing automotive show is very car-dedicated but has given Ducati space at the exhibition. It’s known as Asia’s number one automotive event so Ducati showed the entire 2010 range.

The Monster 696, Hypermotard 796, Streetfighter and new Mutlistrada 1200 which attracted plenty of attention at the exhibition, were all included.

An estimated 700,000 visitors attended the event, with the 1198 S ‘Corse’, Streetfighter and new Multistrada 1200 models being bought by one wealthy Chinese bike fan.

Ducati is increasingly building a sales network in China since the company’s first store in Shanghai was opened along with the Ducati Asia-Pacific sales office.
