Norton leads British charge!

After wowing the crowds at the NEC Show… it’s now London’s turn, with Norton set to be one of the stars of the Carole Nash MCN Show!

The revived British marque will be displaying all three of its newly-developed models, along with its full range of merchandise and accessories. Norton staff, including MD Stuart Garner, will also be present at the show.

The three bikes are: the limited edition Commando 961SE (the black machine in the picture above); the brand new Commando Café Racer (yellow), and the Command Sport (red).

All are powered by an all-new, air-cooled, fuel-injected 961cc parallel twin expected to produce between 85 and 90bhp carried in a chrome-moly tubular steel frame.

The limited Edition SE (just 200 are being built) featurews the most impressive specification, as befitting a bike priced at £15,995.

It has: carbon-fibre wheels by BST, Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes front and rear plus carbon fibre mudguard, hugger, chain guard and number plate hanger.

The Café Racer is essentially a sportier version, featuring: clip-on handlebars complete with lower, integral brake and clutch master cylinders, a small fly-screen, fat, upside-down Ohlins forks (in place of the SE’s RWU variety), radially-mounted Brembo callipers and mean and moody black rimmed alloy spoked wheels complete with black sprocket.

Our pictured example also features Norton’s new, stubby, performance exhaust system which is available as an accessory.

Sport: essentially a lower-priced, slightly more basic version of the limited edition 961 SE, with lightly lower-spec, non-adjustable Ohlins front forks, polished alloy wire wheels and without the carbon-fibre mudguard etc of the SE.

And there’s still more. Norton will also be displaying its radical rotary-engined racer plus a full range of Norton clothing and merchandise including all-new leather jackets, helmets, race leathers, T-shirts and more.
