Alpinestars airbag suit in action

We’ve just seen the new Alpinestars Tech Air Race airbag one-piece suit in action; here’s a short video clip showing our senior road tester Michael Neeves wearing the suit during a test inflation at the MCN offices.

The suit, which contains sensors, inflators and shoulder airbags, wirelessly activated in the event of a crash on track, is available in the UK from this week. It costs a teeth-suckingly enormous £5400. Yes, you read that final zero correctly.
