Built in Britain 2013 - enter your bike

1 of 10

Today sees the launch of the 2013 Built in Britain competition, an anuual event launched by Carole Nash and MCN to find the nation’s most talented bike builder.

Every year this massive competition attracts thousands of customs, cafe racers, streetfighters and classics all vying to win the most coveted award in biking.

Registrations is open from today. Simply click here where you can upload images of your bike and place it one of six categories (Sports and sports modified, Classics, Choppers and customs, Streetfighters, Concours and restored and Pro Builder)

You must add at least one image and a description for your motorcycle, but if you want to go that extra mile you can also upload a YouTube video of your machine.

This is a competition for all types of bike so if you’ve just completed a nut-and-bolt restoration of a Brough Superior, fitted hub-centre steering to an RSV4, or built the most beautifully-proportioned cafe racer on the planet – you’re in with a chance!

When all the entries are in, a panel of expert judges will choose the 50 best bikes. If your bike, or your favourite entry doesn’t make the cut, don’t worry, the public will have a chance to vote another 10 bikes through on the Carole Nash insidebikes Facebook page. Entries close on August 8.

The public will then be asked to vote for their favourite from each category (six votes overall, one in each category).

The 12 bikes that receive the most public votes will make the final and be professionally photographed for the prestigious 2014 Carole Nash calendar that will be handed out at Motorcycle Live at the NEC in November.

The 12 finalists will be announced in MCN’s Motorcycles Live show supplement on November 20.
