New £160k Brough Superior revealed

1 of 1

The hugely-anticipated, £160,000 reproduction of Lawrence of Arabia’s 1925 Brough Superior was finally unveiled in London last week.

Created from the ground-up by Brit Mark Upham and set to go into ultra-limited production, the exquisite machine was launched in the UK to an invited few at Upham’s brother’s antiques shop on London’s exclusive Kings Road.

It’s also accurate in every minute detail, right down to a replica of Lawrence’s swagger stick clipped to the girder front fork. The bike displayed is the fifth ‘prototype’ built to date as Upham gears up towards production of just nine bespoke machines.

Upham told MCN: “Artists seem to have a thing about numbers and do things in nines and, to me, the Brough Superior is a work of art.” He also plans to vary spec on engine capacity and even chassis design, according to customer preference.

The original Brough was the most expensive motorcycle of the day and Upham aims to keep things that way with his Broughs.
