2013 Triumph Trophy spied in finished form

1 of 1

This exclusive spy shot of Triumph’s all-new Trophy 1200 is the first to show the bike in final form – most of the details are complete and the bike is nearing production readiness.

The Trophy has been developed alongside the Tiger Explorer, and features the same 1251cc three-cylinder engine and all-new-shaft-drive transmission. However, the more complex Trophy wraps the motor in a totally different chassis and all-enveloping bodywork.

Where the Explorer is intended to strike fear into rival BMW as a credible alternative to the previously-unchallenged R1200GS, the Trophy is clearly targeting the Bavarian firm’s other stronghold; the high-end tourer market dominated by the firm’s R1200RT and K1600GT/GTL models.
