BMW has unveiled the new C Evolution electric scooter as an alternative to the BMW C600 Sport and C650 GT.

The new BMW promises 14bhp of continuous output and 46bhp peak output. The top speed is electronically limited to 74mph and has a range of 60 miles due to a large battery capacity.

The battery is charged via the integrated charging device, using either a regular household socket or a charging station takes an impressive 3 hours or less from flat.

According to BMW, the C Evolution’s alternator offers the rider an instant, spontaneous response. There are no delays in torque build-up at all as are typical in combustion engines due to the clutch engaging and disengaging.

BMW are the Official Automotive Partner for the 2012 London Olympics Games.
