2013 ‘Skyhook’ Ducati Multistradas unveiled

Ducati’s updated 2013 Multistrada line-up has just broken cover – with the top-of-the-range models now featuring the firm’s innovative new semi-active suspension system, ‘Skyhook’, as predicted by MCN last month.

There will be four different models, as before, all with significant revisions, but the current 1200S Sport model will be discontinued and replaced by a new flagship machine – the Multistrada 1200S ‘Granturismo’.

The Pikes Peak gets a revised paint job while all models retain Ducati’s pioneering ‘Riding Mode’ system which changes the engine mapping between four, different presets at the flick of a switch and, on the S versions, also electronically adjusts the suspension to suit, plus Ducati’s switchable traction control system (DTC).

But the most significant changes are the introduction of both the ‘full-dresser’ Granturismo model and Ducati’s new semi-active suspension system, dubbed ‘Ducati Skyhook Suspension’ (DSS) on the ‘S’ versions.
