Here's my concept for a more powerful, lighter and much more off-road focused Tenere using the MT-09 engine.

The latest design from Mr.Bezzi sees the Mt-09 being used as a donor for the new TENERE 900 triple.
Not too keen on triples been used for off road/desert style bikes but over the years the PARIS/DAKAR race has seen some wonderful and wacky bikes.
And it hasn't stopped Triumph bringing out their 800/1200 machines has it?
Still, YAMAHA could put the 1200 engine in this frame eaasily i suspect, with added oomphh.
One thing i'd liked to have seen is more fairing at least to cover the radiator and to showa bit more DAKAR heritage, other than that.......BRILLIANT!
This YAMAHA are you listening, is how the 1200 should have looked, instead of that disappointment of a 1200 on the market today.

I agree that the 700 twin would be a better option ,as an alternative to the highly succesful BMW 700/800 twins .The triple market has got the Triumph , the MV , and Benelli . Sure the MT09 motor appears to have the goods , but yamaha already have/had the TDM 900, which in it's own right has a cult following. Surely to see a new 700>950 twin with a shaft drive Tenere' / TDM styled bike would be a better option than another triple . A smart looking thing though

Triples are too frantic for trailing, the 07 would make more sense.
