MV unveils Ago tribute F4

MV has unveiled a limited edition replica dedicated to its most famous racing son, Giacomo Agostini.

The new MV Ago is a tribute to Agostini, who achieved a record 15 World Championship titles in the 60s and 70s, 13 of them for the Italian company.

Only 500 of the Ago replicas will be made and each one comes complete with the famous racer’s name autographed on the tank.

Owners get a full carbon fibre fairing and Ago decals on the wing mirrors and seat unit as well as an old style ” 1 ” logo on the fairing.

While the engine and chassis is stock, the replica gets new split-spoke wheels and the uprated Showa suspension from the limited edition SPR MV. The gold six-piston Nissin calipers are also new and are upgrades of the F4 branded Nissins on the stock bike.

The Ago rep will go on sale late this year and is expected to cost in the region of £18,000.

In his eight year career with MV Ago won every major racing title including seven consecutive world 500cc titles from 1966-1972 inclusive, six 350 titles an 10 TT titles.
