Watch road tester Adam Child tests out the new CBR600RR against the Yamaha R6.In our comprehensive 600 group test last February not only did Yamaha’s new R6 grab the honours, Suzuki’s GSX-R was placed second. Honda, for the first time in years, was left trailing. So for 2007 Honda has given us an all-new CBR. It may look familiar, still echoing the lines of Honda’s RCV MotoGP machine, but make no mistake, this CBR is completely revamped. Our first ride, at the world launch in Alabama in November, left us impressed. Our first side-by-side test of the CBR and R6 on UK roads proves that, on the public highway, the Honda makes most sense. The R6 still looks radical and mean. The Honda has some lovely lines and from the front they both look similar, have good build quality and are similarly priced. See the video below as road tester, Adam Child, tests out the Honda CBR600RR against the Yamaha R6.
