First official pictures of new Moto Morinis

Moto Morini sent these two images of the new Scrambler and 1200 Sport fresh from the photo shoot earlier today (January 25) exclusively to MCN.
The bikes were launched last weekend at the Padova motorcycle show, and are based on the existing Moto Morini 9½ Sport.
The two new motorcycles are powered by the 117bhp version of the 1187cc v-twin used in all Moto Morinis, and the white-painted frame is taken straight from the 9 ½ Sport. Marzocchi forks hold an Excel spoked front wheel (19” on the Scrambler, 17” on the 1200 Sport), and a matching 17” rear. The Scrambler is fitted with full-on knobbly tyres, and the Sport is fitted with road tyres.
Both bikes feature a different rear suspension set-up derived from the Granpasso 1200 launched at the 2007 Milan show, and the bodywork is painted in a retro style – the 1200 Sport is available in an orange/blue scheme similar to racing cars sponsored by the Gulf oil company, and a British Racing Green/yellow option like classic Lotus cars.
The Scrambler comes in black/white, with a second undecided colour option to be available for the bike’s launch in the summer. The 1200 Sport will be available shortly after production begins in March. Prices are yet to be announced.
