Good Posts
Just read the posts by dave80h/abandit63/yellowninja600 and toedownsvracing and I agree with your comments 100%. I am sick to the death of MCN only printing the anti polce comments and not the other side. The facts in this accident will no doubt come out in the enquiry and if the police driver is at fault he/she will no doubt be prosecuted like any other driver.
My thoughts go to the family of the biker and whilst any death is hard to deal with at this time of the year it will be particularly hard.
RIP

Yeah, Hold The Phone....
Nearly midnight, in this weather, with no actual information or details, it could be quite easilly an accident or the bikers fault.
Either way, RIP

BASH BASH BASH...
Bash Police... Police Bash...
I ain't really got time for some 'bashing' so the above words are just a little bit of humour to lighten a very sad and unfortunate situation.
I have tried to imagine on many an ocassion what it would actually be like to hit/kill someone with a bike or car (not being sick with my thoughts!!!) and can never imagine the impact that it would have on the victims family or indeed myself. A Police Officer for all his bravado and image IS human at the end of the day. There are a lot of them who are complete and utter ars*holes but I have yet to meet one who goes out with ANY inclination to kill someone. Their jobs centre around PREVENTING death.
They may well follow the WRONG guidlines from above but what exactly are they supposed to do instead??? Make up their own rules? (Shhh, that wasn't really a question!)
This is a very unfortunate incident and time will reveal whether incompetence was to blame or if it was an unfortunate and devastating accident.
Instead of trying to BLAME anyone for what has happened I would instead like to offer my assistance in anyway that I can to the family or friends of the biker or indeed the Police Officer. This should be everyones FIRST thoughts until the exact details emerge and even then both parties will need comforting. My offer is a genuine one and if anyone knows either party involved and has any ideas or thoughts on what could be possible/done then please feel free to get in touch. Sadly I cannot work miracles but I sure am able and willing to do anything that is possible.
RIP fellow biker.
