Insurance shambles

With reference to the guy who was told he wouldn't be insured for a charity rally.
Last winter my bike was off the road and the MOT expired (mid Feb and wet/miserable).
Insurance was due at the same time and I noticed that a current MOT was a requirement. I got in touch and they said I wouldn't be covered going for an MOT.
Hell - even the government lets you off mot and tax when going for an MOT. ebikeinsurance this time.
