Can I fit a race exhaust to my Honda Hornet 600 which won't get too hot for my pillion. I have heard that carbon cans might not heat up as much ­ is this true?

Carbon-fibre doesn¹t conduct heat as well as alloy so it will feel cooler to the touch. But what's more important is that the can is double-skinned so there¹s a layer of trapped insulating air.
