What’s good? Dainese are brilliant at making motorcycle leather jackets. They’re stylish, fit beautifully and I can unfortunately attest to the fact that they crash well too, thanks to sturdy leather and decent body armour.

I’ve got a Dainese Back Space G1-G2-back protector (£39.99) fitted in the armour compartment in the back.

On my recent big biking trip to Ibiza I managed to keep the jacket clean and remove all the multi-coloured European fly splats using damp hotel towels, which I’m sure they’re thanking me for right now.

What’s not? The price. £400 is a lot of money for a jacket, but if you can stretch that far it’s worth it.
