Dani Pedrosa insists he will sign a new deal with Honda for 2011, despite protracted talks not yet being finalised.

Pedrosa, who finished second behind Jorge Lorenzo for the third time in the last five races and fourth time this season in Brno last weekend, said: “My idea is to stay in Honda and we are still having some talks.

“It is going in a good way and it is just a matter of time.”

Pedrosa will partner Aussie Casey Stoner on a factory Honda RC212V machine next season for his sixth season with the Japanese factory.

The Spaniard is currently second in the world championship standings but a massive 77-points adrift of arch rival Lorenzo.
