TT rider dies on Mountain

TT racer John Crellin has died after crashing in the 2009 Senior TT.

The 58-year-old civil engineer from Douglas in the Isle of Man crashed on his 1000cc Suzuki on the Mountain Box of the course.

He was an experienced TT competitor who has competed in a number of TT races and Manx Grand Prix events.

The Coroner of Inquests has been informed and an investigation into the circumstances of the accident is under way.

A spokesman for the TT said: “The Department of Tourism and Leisure and ACU Events Ltd extend their deepest sympathy to John’s family.”
