Aprilia have confirmed that they are speaking with a number of teams about the option of supplying them RSV4’s to race in WSB in 2010.

Current Ducati teams Guandalini and the Marco Borciani’s run Sterilgarda team are set to merge for next season and have become the most likely candidates to run a one man team using factory backed Aprilia RSV4’s.

Guandalini have already signed 26 year old Czech rider Jacob Smrz for 2010.

Speaking to MCN Aprilia’s Road Racing Sport Manager Daniele Tosatti said:

“There have been teams interested in racing with Aprilia, we have given them the price and now they are working to find the necessary budget.

“The Guandalini/Borciani team are showing real interest and we have had enquiries from other teams in the paddock.”

Official Aprilia riders Max Biaggi and Leon Camier will be in action next week at a two day test in Valencia in preperation for the 2010 season.
