Stuart Easton will miss the Cadwell Park round of the British Supersport championship this weekend after breaking a bone in his foot in testing at Magny Cours, France.

Stuart Easton was due to ride the prestigious Bol d’Or 24-hour race next month for the works Kawasaki France squad when he crashed on the wet track in this morning’s session.

Stuart Easton was taken directly to hospital for x-rays and treatment and is due to catch a flight back to the UK this afternoon.

MCN was unable to speak with Stuart Easton but team boss Christian Bourgeois said: “I do not know the exact details of the crash. The left hand foot rest assembly was broken so we don’t know if he got caught up with the bike. It is really disappointing and now we will have to look at who we can replace him with in the race.”
