Sachs reveals new 805cc twin

1 of 1

The Sachs B-805 uses a Suzuki cruiser V-twin engine, comes with upside-down forks and is styled by Target design, the firm behind the original Suzuki Katana.

It is clearly a modified version of the firm’s current Roadster 800 and, the firm says, indicates the direction its next production bike will be heading in.

The chassis, engine, suspension and even most of the bodywork is carried over from the retro-styled Roadster.

It is not going to be a fast bike – particularly given its 228kg (501lb) weight and less than 60bhp. But the styling will ensure it gets attention.

The Roadster’s old-fashioned round headlight has been swopped for a bar-mounted bikini fairing incorporating a pair of stacked projector-beam lamps. There’s also a pillion seat cover to give the bike a sportier look.

The firm has also confirmed that it is working on a totally new 60 degree V-twin engine and hinted that the motor could be developed in conjunction with British firm CCM. At the Milan Show, where the Bomb was unveiled, Sachs shared a stand with CCM.

Sachs also revealed a new, four-stroke version of its XTC 125cc sports bike at the Milan show to meet new emissions laws. Other than the engine, the bike remains unchanged.
