Triumph tests new Daytona

1 of 1

TRIUMPH’S new Daytona is undergoing extensive last-minute testing to prepare for its release to the public in May. MCN spotted this all-black pre-production machine testing at Bruntingthorpe proving ground in Leicestershire.

As it sped down the two-mile dis-used runway, it registered 157mph on our radar gun – and it appeared to have a lot more in reserve.

The old 955i managed a best of 161mph. If the updated model reaches Triumph’s claimed 147bhp at the crankshaft, it should top 170mph.
