2005 Suzuki cruisers

1 of 1

Suzuki’s 2005 cruiser line-up has been launched in the U.S. with a new model and completely new names for the whole range.

All Suzuki cruisers are now called Boulevards in the US but it is not yet clear whether this name will be carried over to the European models.

The range will then be split in to muscle, classic and sportster series. In the US a number representing the capacity in cubic inches will separate the models but it is expected the European bikes will keep the cc-related numbers.

The new boy in the range is the M50, which is designed to bridge the gap between a cruiser and muscle bike and uses the 800cc v-twin from the old VL800 Intruder.

The C series is based on the old Volusia models with just a few cosmetic changes and includes the 800cc C50 and 1500cc C90. Touring versions will also be available.

The S series now combines the old Savage and Intruder models to give the S40 650cc single and the 800cc C50 and 1360cc C83 v-twins.
